Houghton Mifflin, 1915. Hardcover. 427 pages. Three quarter Morocco Leather over marbled cloth boards. Gilt stamped titling and scrolls on spine to six compartments. Top edge gilt. Remaining edges uncut. Marbled endpapers. Tissue guarded frontis portrait of Charles Dawes as well as two more tissue guarded plates, of Rufus Fearing Dawes and Gen. Rufus R. Dawes. VG. Square and sturdy. Leather distressed along spine, with moderate scuffing. Greater boards show rubbing and some spotting. Slight push to top corner; scuffs top and bottom corners. Internally clean on the whole, with foxing to front and rear endpapers. Pages mostly bright, though there is some faint spotting throughout. Free of all markings. Last leaves of main text are uncut. Scarce.
